Has anyone recently booked a room at the Comfort Suites near Atlantis, instead of booking through Carnival? I keep hearing not to nook through Carnival because of price. What are your thoughts? How will we get from port to Atlantis? Thanks!!:confused:

We have done this several times. The cab ride is $4 pp to Comfort Suites. We have never had a problem. If our room is not ready we still get the passes to go over to Atlantis. (waterpark doesn't open till 9:30) You get "free" continental breakfast at CS - we usually pack a bagel to take to Atlantis. We sometimes use the room at CS to shower in before we go back to the ship. As there are 4 of us, we save anywhere from $100-$200 over booking thru CCL or even getting a day pass at Atlantis.

does anyone know how to get a discount at the Comfort Suites, right now the rate in February is almost $400 plus tax.
