Was booking air for our T/A next nov on Icelandair. Economy comfort was $690pp SFB to LHR. Was just going to book regular economy and maybe upgrade later but decided "what the heck" and went ahead and booked the comfort class. Looked today and the fare is now $1144. Going out to buy a lottery ticket

The same thing happened to us when we booked Iceland Air last year. The upgraded ticket was very affordable when we booked. I believe with this ticket you are able to use the lounge in Iceland - it was very nice and my husband got to sample some Iceland beer:)

Oops actually $1244. Really was torn whether to spend the exra 200pp for the comfort class. Really glad I did!

Keep checking the prices on Iceland Air. They seemed to flucuate.
