Cutting it close? Disneyland to Splendor

I was originally planning on sailing the Carnival Splendor first week in October, after running the Disneyland Wine and Dine (Race Sat night, cruise Sun AM). Disneyland has moved the Wine & Dine race to November, so I am no longer able to do this race/cruise. I saw that Disneyland is having a half marathon first weekend in September, and there is a 7 day Splendor cruise. The only concern I have with this one, is that the half marathon is on the same day as the departure (race at 5:45am, and I'd assume the race would end maximum 2 1/2-3 hours) and then I'd have to make my way over to the port (I have not cruised out of LA before, but according to mapquest its about 30 minutes?). Would this be too rushed? Is it usually crazy all day at Disneyland trying to leave after the races?

The trip from Anaheim to San Pedro is about 40 minutes by car if you are clear of Disneyland. How do you plan on getting to the port - your car, a cab, a shuttle? How fast is Carnival at checking you in - 20 or 30 minutes? What time does the ship depart - 4:30? What is your expected finish time - 9 AM?

I don't know for sure, but this seems like something you can easily accomplish given that you don't try and do anything in the Park after the race.

Seems like plenty of time. What time does Carnival want you to be at the port? I would go backwards 1.5 hours from there just to be safe even though it should be less than 45 minutes from DL to the port.
