corkscrew Posted May 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I just want to thank the person who snagged my $28 soda bottle in the Gallery on the NCL Dawn on around 5/1. I set it down on next to the cigars and walked 10 feet to the other cigar case for two minutes-when I returned it was gone. Yes I know the sticker works fine but thats not the point. The store employees looked all over for it (above and beyond) so I'm pretty sure they didnt take it. For those of you who do use the soda program, do not leave your bottle unattended. For the person who took it, happy Karma champ- hope you enjoyed the free soda.
mbisson Posted May 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2004 The odds are might slim that the focus of your anger will ever see your message. -Monte some of my cruising photos: http://community.webshots.com/user/m1bisson A bad day cruising is better than a good day at work. The worst cruise I ever took was pretty damned good. cliffd64 Posted May 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I suppose you could have asked any bartender for a new souvenir bottle. Seeing as how you paid for it, it is no big deal... They only have thousands of them. I think on the three cruises that we had the soda card, we never used the silly can/bottle but merely got a fresh glass every time. In fact, if you are truly heartbroken, send your mailing address and I will gladly mail you one of the many we have accumulated I would be happy to get rid of a few of these Cliff Carnival Holiday November 2001 Norwegian Sky 11/4/2002 Norwegian Sky 11/11/2002 Norwegian Wind 10/11/2003 Norwegian Dawn 12/14/2003 Norwegian Sun 02/08/2004
corkscrew Posted May 6, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Yeah, I know. You guys are both correct, and I appreciate the offer cliffd. I did try and get another, but they would'nt do it. Writing is my way of blowing off steam- otherwise I wouldnt be so layed back in person! Now that the cruise is over, I'm scheduling my weekends for the rest of the year at OC Jersey, OC Maryland, Phx Arizona and where ever else my 1100 CC's of street machine take me. Have a good one all.
zimmerjulie Posted May 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Si corkscrew, karma is a wonderful thing. I have seen it work with a vengeance . Doesn't matter that you're out the plastic cup, just matters that someone was low enough to steal it. I once left my camera next to an exhibit in an atomic museum in New Mexico. By the time I realized it and went back, it could have been as much as 20 minutes. It was still there, sitting right where I left it and where 50 people must have walked/viewed the exhibit in the meantime. Made me feel good, and not just cause I got my camera back. Anyone get their souvenir icicle glass or margarita shaker stolen? I'd love to send you one (or more) of mine .
vijoge Posted May 6, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Hey, someone took my husbands bottle on the Dawn in December, too. The bartender was nice enough to give him another one. It was taken in the casino. cliffd64 Posted May 7, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 7, 2004 To be perfectly honest... when we were on the Wind... we gave one of ours to the bar staff in the auditorium during a show and he never came back with it. We were given a replacement Cliff Carnival Holiday November 2001 Norwegian Sky 11/4/2002 Norwegian Sky 11/11/2002 Norwegian Wind 10/11/2003 Norwegian Dawn 12/14/2003 Norwegian Sun 02/08/2004
MR5SUNS Posted May 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Hi Guy's, Sorry about your soda bottle but don't think everyone is out to keep something they found are came accross. We were on a cruise out of NYC to Bermuda on the old Meridan in 1994 and someone we were with lost her diamond ring. Well someone found it and turned it into the pursers desk. We never found out who turned it in but hope they knew we were very thankful We are a group of 25 family members sailing on the Dawn in Aug 22 2004 SAL Norwegian Dawn

Sandycruise Posted May 10, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Corkscrew, it is possible that the soda was taken by someone by mistake. If someone did take it on purpose, we should all feel sorry for that person, I mean, who would give up their dignity for a stupid plastic soda bottle? People like that, though best avoided, deserve our pity because they could not have any decent values. SO! It was a $27 bottle, right? Have you spent about $27 worth of aggravation on it? If so, then, let it go. You don't want to let the thief take more from you by paying any more in thinking about what he did. I hope you enjoy all your future cruises and I hope you only run into honest, good people! Sandy Carn. Jubilee, Nov 13,2000 NCL Sea, July 22,2001 Cel Zenith Oct 19, 2002 Carn.
