Big Carnival Sale on the way ?

Supply and demand will continue to drive the pricing . Most people know that this was a tragic mistake and is unlikely to occur again. People are contiuing to plan and book their next cruise on a daily basis.

This is how I feel, and I am the most paranoid person in the world! I'm still more afraid of flying to the cruise port.

I don't fully understand the cruise pricing. I have booked early saver before and done very well. This year I booked a casino fare and got an awesome aft cabin on the Glory to NE/Canada in Sept.2012 at a decent price. I also received $100 casino credit. Do I have any recourse if the price of my cuise goes down before final payment? Thanks for your help.

I am in agreement that Carnival's "sales" are anything but.

Every time I have seen a sale, the price was higher than both past guest and ES rates.

Also, don't be quick to assume and Carnival 'sales' that are announced in the coming weeks have anything to do with the Costa incident because it is wave season after all.

I have seen the prices go UP when they call it a sale.We cruise @ HALLOWEEN

and have always had great prices.

When is the 'early saver' period? We are looking at May 20, 2012...did I miss the early period??

The Early Saver period is based upon the length of your cruise. 3-5 day cruise is three months in advance, a 6 day or longer cruise is five months in advance.

I definitely recommend it if you are fairly certain you are sailing (as there are restrictions on refunds if you have to cancel) - but the nice part is that if the price drops on your cruise after you book - you fill out the form on the website and once they confirm the price drop they give you an OBC. It's a nice way to ensure that you get the absolute best deal. Try to check the rates daily.. I have seen them change drastically from morning to evening.

I was hoping for some sort of on-board credit to keep bookings myself. We have a deposit down on a May cruise with full payment due end of Feb, but still have the ability to cancel and get $ back I believe.

I do not think they will find it necessary to do this to keep bookings.
