Grand Beach Hotel - How Is It? Anyone Visit Recently?

Is there anyone who has stayed in Miami Beach at Grand Beach Hotel recently? My husband and I will be traveling with our 17 year old son and 89 year old aunt and are considering this hotel for one night prior to our cruise and one night after the cruise. I don't really want to get 2 separate rooms. I like the fact that the penthouse suite has 2 king beds in one room, a queen in the other room and 2 baths.

 

Any other recommendations? Want to be able to relax near beach and pool. Want a good vacation from start to finish.

 

I would love to hear from folks who have stayed here before.

We stayed there 2 years ago and it was a real nice place.

I think it just opened a few months before we stayed.

I would stay there again.
