What would be your pick for cruise lines and why?

Im looking to take my mum on a cruise next year

I have been on the pacific dawn jus wants to know the differeces

For us it depends on where the ship is going and the cost...

As we are looking at doing a cruise from either Hawaii or San Francisco to Australia / New Zealand.

Its hard to pick one over the other.

All three lines are great and they will all give you a wonderful cruse experience.

Its going to come down to ;

when you want to go,

where you want to go to ,

and How much you are prepared to pay.

What could also swing it , is what the cruise line and /or Travel agent are prepared to give you in return for your custom....

ie a discounted or sale price cruise fare, and /or an On Board Credit, for you to spend on whatever you want while on board.

We are paying 5.5k ish for our mid ship balcony on the Ocean Princess 28 nights Honolulu to Sydney including NZ...seemed reasonable to me the intinerary looks good and plenty of sea days to relax.

Would be even better if some of you were onboard...the roll call is soooo quiet.

Hi wilko1969

Our choice would be Princess. We just came home from a fantastic cruise to the South Pacific yesterday on Sun Princess and had an awesome time. I will be posting a review and more info. on our choice when me body stops swaying. First time I have had land sickness instead of sea sickness.;)

Depends also on personal taste - what are you looking for most? E.g. RCL has more physical activities than the other two, but is weaker in food, Princess has better quality, but is quieter/less activity in the evening, and so on. All are good, but each have different strengths.
