Is Liberty of the seas a good ship?

Recommended Posts

I have been on this site for the past week, almost non-stop & am becoming increasingly worried that the ship we sail on on May 3rd is not up to par with other RCL ships. We were on Navigator of the seas in April 11 & totally loved it, but there doesn't seem to be many good comments about Liberty, plus I have had only one reply about roll call....am I being paranoid????

To the OP - You'll love it. We've been on 9 cruises and it is our favorite ship. We didn't like the Navigator. It was our LEAST favorite of the RCCL ships we've been on.

She better be good because we are going on our very first cruise next week and we will be on the liberty of the seas. I'll let you know how it is when I get back. From the pictures I look at, it looks like the liberty of the seas is a lot nicer than most other ships.

I'm so looking forward to the flowrider.

I was on Liberty this weekend and had a WOW of a time! I only wish the cruise had been longer than 4 nights. The weather was windy and chilly on Sunday and we found plenty to do indoors...hours and hours of entertainment! The ship was as nice as brand new! The CD is an Austrailian guy. The entertainer in Schooner's, David Curtis, is so much fun! The Diamond lounge is the nicest loyalty lounge I have seen and it has it's own terrace.

If it is anything like her sister ship the Freedom, You will be in for a great treat. This was also my 1st cruise. Now I am hooked.

Have you joined RCL's loyal program the Crown and Anchor Society?

We have been on the beautiful Liberty OTS three times and will be on again next month. The ship is absolutely lovely.

This link has pictures of the Liberty including one of the flowrider:

My family and friends sailed on LOS last Feb. It was our first RCCL cruise and we were on during a busy school vacatjon week. We had the best time! Even though the ship was at full capacity it did not feel overly crowded (except on pool days). The ship had just been in dry dock for a few upgrades and I could not find anything negative about our trip! The service in the dining room was fantastic, the food was wonderful, our cabin attendant was super! We cruised an 8 night Eastern Caribbean route with stops in St. Thomas, St. Martin, San Juan and Labadee. It was all great and the weather was perfect! Hoping to sail on Freedom in Feb 2013. Wish I was going this year! My 16 an 18 year old boys had a blast! My 16 year old made a lot of new FB friends and loved the Promenade and the pizza. I was worried my 18 year old would be bored because he could not go to the teen area with his brother, but the cruise line had a lot of activities for the 18 - 20 year olds until late into the night. He really enjoyed himself!:)

We will be on Liberty on 8th September out of Barcelona. I wouldn't worry about roll call too much. Our one for the above has 2 people on it, including myself! I have nearly given up on looking at it :)

I have sailed Independence many times.....as you can see below and I adore this ship. Liberty is sister ship so not mach difference. They are a brilliant size ship. Lots of space so you don't feel crowded but you won't feel lost. ENJOY!

Any more info on the current CD? Name (was it Mike H)? How was he? Any idea how long he will be on there? We leave on 02/13 for 5 nights. Thanks!
