Train in Sydney to Blue Mountains?

Yes we are on the roll call for the cruise. We did the cruise last year and enjoyed it so much that we are repeating this year. We will be happy to help out with any questions about Hawaii. Looking forward to meeting you on the cruise.

Good you will be on the cruise with us - I must have missed you on the roll call. We will ask some questions about ideas for our port days in Hawaii if that's ok?

Happy cruising,

Neil & Tracey

We'll be glad to answer any Hawaii questions. We've lived here 9 years, and came here for vacation/business annually for about 20 years before moving.

If we can't answer all your questions, we can almost surely find someone here that can.

Looking forward to meeting both of you,

Randy

We will be arriving in Sydney on October 3,2014 on the Rhapsody of the Seas. We are thinking of taking the train and Explorer Bus combo package for 3 days in Katoomba. We are most interested in natural things, plants, hiking, geology, wildlife, etc. There apparently also is a garden festival in Leura from Oct 4-12.

With the festival and normal sights, are there enough things to see and do to take 3 days in this location?

Can anyone recommend a lodging in the area?

Thanks for the info.

Randy

Just wanted to mention that it is our Long Weekend on 4-6 Oct (its a public holiday on the Monday). Alot of Sydneysiders chose to go away for that weekend. Make sure you book Blue Mountains accommodation in advance rather than at last minute for that particular weekend.

Good pickup on that - never even thought of it, what with our trip and all, and our cruise ending on Fri 3rd. On the Sunday it is the NRL (football) grandfinal in Sydney, so that may also impact accommodation etc for that weekend.

Yes we look forward to meeting you also. I will ask you some questions over on our roll-call thread rather than take this one off-topic.

Cheers,

Neil & Tracey
