For those concerned about the Cinque Terre and how it is recovering from the mud slide in October 2011 here is a link that is being updated frequently.

Looks like the area will be OK to visit during our cruise.

Just had an email from a friend who was there last week. He said the recovery had a bit more to go but it was fun and the locals went out of their way to make sure they knew they were welcomed. What more do you need when you know they want you to "enjoy"?
