How early can you board......

Recommended Posts

Here is the US we have boarded as early at 11:15 am.

It all depends on the ship arriving at the port on time and the crew getting it ready for new passengers.

Absolutely right...we try to get there by 11:00 a.m. that way we can eat lunch at the Windjammer until our room is ready...usually you can't get into your room until around 1:00 p.m.

Hi can anyone tell us how early we can board , sailing on the 14/07/2012

out of Malaga on the adventure of the seas.

We are in Spain for some time before.

It's personal choice, but we usually aim to be on board between 12-12.30pm, so we can go straight to the buffet and have something to eat, while waiting for our cabin to become available. Can't see the point in going too much earlier, especially as we always have hefty carry-ons, and you have to lug them around.

Things you need to consider are how far away your hotel is from the dock, and traffic, also the wait time in line for the boarding process, which can take anything from 20 minutes up to an hour (in our experience), depending on how busy it is when you arrive.

Have fun :)

We follow the same as you. Once we were actually the second couple on board!

On a back to back cruise on the Voyager. We had fog problems that kept us from getting into the Galveston port. People weren't allowed to board until after 1 PM. Lots of angry people, but the cruise docs state that they should arrive at 1:30. So if you are delayed don't be upset, the cruise ship sometimes has reasons for the delay in boarding.

Voyager Tranatlantic from Barcelona we were delayed because extra cleaning was done for noro virus.

We normally get to the port by 11 AM, but know we might have to sit and wait if there has been a delay in getting passengers off the cruise before.
