Lotus Spa who now Runs?

We will be on the CP (eastern iten.) in June. Who now operates the Spa. Is it Princess or the third party vendor? How are tips handled for the spa. e.g. added to the stateroom bill @ 15% etc?? Pls advise.

Lotus Spa is not run by Princess, however you can charge the treatments, and the tips onto your shipboard account.

I believe all of the Princess spas are now run by Steiner. You can charge them to your cabin as in the past.

 

 

As an experiment, Princess started out running the spa on the Diamond, then the Sapphire, and finally the Caribbean. The experiment must have failed because they converted them back over to a third party operation.

 

In a way, it's a shame. The prices were much better when Princess ran them, and there was never the "hard sell" to purchase product that Steiner is known for. Frankly, even if Princess decided that it shouldn't run the spas itself, it definitely should but the kabash on Steiner's selling practices. It is a pain!
