We're from the Portsmouth area. Minford to be exact..just a little north of Portsmouth. (South Central Ohio on the river--2 hours east of Cincinnati and 2 hours south of Columbus).

Well as you can see from my screen name..
I'm an Ohio Girl, in a little burb of Columbus called Grove City...we should get another party set up to all meet again, I know they did one last year, but I was unable to attend..but thats something to think about...
By the way, I met the guy I'm dating on a cruise...so great things do happen on vacation..Regarding the get together..lets see who are interested and plan something.

My husband and I hosted a get-together here in Toledo a couple of years ago and it was a big success and so neat to meet up with fellow cruisers. We had about 25 people, not just from Ohio either - had people attend from as far away as N. Carolina, Canada and Florida. Also attended one in Columbus last year that was organized on the Royal Caribbean board. Keep us posted if anything new is organized for this year.

I'm 26 and live in Bowling Green, Ohio, just south of Toledo. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] First cruise was on the Wind in Feb/March 2004, hoping to plan another cruise for next March. My boyfriend is moving to Miami, so that will be conveinent!

Its official, I've gone off the deep end..I went to Garden Ridge this weekend and bought a pre-lite 6 foot 3 part palm tree to put on my condo patio...My family thinks I've gone over the top...oh well..if I can't be in the carribean, cruising...at least I can sit on my patio, drink a little rum punch, and dream...
Maybe we should have the party on my patio..
ha ha...

Wow! My wife and I were just there the other day and she really wanted that palm tree. She wanted to put it on our deck. She kept saying it would remind us of Hawaii. So, how does it look????

Sheila - I've had my eye on one of those pre-lit palm trees! In fact, stopping at a place after work tonight that I saw has them on sale. Think it would be GREAT on our deck!
