cabin under the galley?

We were below the galley on the Conquest. Late at night (I guess during cleanup) we heard what sounded like tables being dragged across the floor. We got an OK night's sleep. Next time, though, I am going to try to avoid being under the galley.

Three years ago I had a room under the galley on Paradise. We didn't notice any "kitchen" noise such as carts rolling or things dropping. But..... For the first 2 nights I heard this scratching in the walls all night long. I couldn't take it any more and told he purser and he said, well you are under the galley, could be a mouse. A MOUSE!!!! Yikes, we were then moved to an outside room 3 floors up. Very nice.

I was under the galley on two of my Carnival cruises. The noises were early in the morning, and sounded like carts being rolled across the floor. I'm the kind of person that doesn't get bothered by things like that. (I've also been at the very front and heard the anchor being dropped at 0-dark-thirty in the morning.) I don't care where I am on the ship, as long as I'm on the ship!!!
