Ok, so is everyone getting tired of seeing fish pictures?!! Ok, so doesn't this picture look so clear that it looks like I am in pool water.....do you think I am tricking you?!......just kidding, I am not, it was in the reef area:

SAM_1002.jpg

So I saved the best fish picture for the last!! This cute little fish swam right up to me, I couldn't believe it! I snapped his picture just in time but he was so close to me it was almost unreal. Hey look, he's coming to give me a kiss!!.....shhhhhh don't tell my husband!! LOL :p:eek::

SAM_1005.jpg

So I had to get his picture again after he swam past me. He's not quite as pretty from the tail end...ha ha ha!!!:

So mom and I had an absolute blast snorkeling with all the fish in Cozumel! Our tour was roughly 1.5 hours. So, I know you are wondering, where is the star fish that the "salesman" promised.....well the captain said that doesn't always happen. He said every now and then we will see one and we can get it and take picture etc, but he said thats kindof a rare thing. So the "salesman" was a little mis leading with that info, but it was ok because we still had a good time!!!

So here we are after all the snorkeling.....and do not laugh at our hair, especially mine!! LOL It looks like it hasn't been brushed in a month! Part of the snorkeling adventure!:

SAM_1016.jpg

Once we got back from our adventure, we were hungry!! So we headed to our beach chairs where a very sweet couple we had met on the ship asked us what we were doing in Cozumel, long story short, told them Nachi Cocum and I told them they should come! Low and behold, they come, and are so glad they did! They loved it. Anyway their names were Penny and Brian, very very nice people. They watched our towels and misc stuff for us while we were on the adventure. They were sitting in the hut next to us.....

Here is the menu for Nachi Cocum, and don't freak out when you read the prices.....LOL:p They are listed in peso's, which if memory serves me correctly, the exchange for peso's to USD's is 13 to 1. So divide that figure by 13 and that will be a lot more reasonable! But if you go to Nachi, it is all-inclusive, so you do not have to pay for the meals, they are included all you want!!!:

SAM_0913.jpg

So we hung out on the beach for a bit after returning and decided we wanted to go to the patio area to eat, so off we went......we both ordered nachos. There is something about the cheese they use, I am not sure what kind it was but it tasted nothing like any cheese I have ever had in the us. I am not saying it was bad, just different. But the nachos had cheese, guacamole (which was good), salsa, and very hot pico de gallo. Here is moms nachos with her 3rd or 4th or 5th drink.....ha ha!!:

SAM_1022.jpg

So it was getting close to time to start heading back to the ship.....we were not ready to go but we knew we had no choice! Here is the last picture I took at Nachi Cocum as we were leaving:

On the trip back to the ship we had about 1.5 hours, so we asked the cabbie to drop us at Margaritaville (which is 1 block) from the ship port area, so we knew we could walk from there! So here is the entrance to a fun place:

DSC02366.jpg

We basically just stopped for tshirts and that was about it, well and a picture of course!! This was right inside the restraunt/store area this HUGE chair:

DSC02367.jpg

This shows you how huge the chair is, it about swallowed mom and I!:

DSC02368.jpg

After we got done getting a couple tshirts, we decided to head back to the ship. It was good we did, as it started sprinkling rain. Nothing serious but even a little rain can be annoying on vacation. So we got a couple spots on us but the rain didn't last very long, less than 10 minutes....

On the way back to the ship, these guys are on double bicycles with a cart area to sit and they take tips only to ride in their carts. The carts take you from one side of pier to the other. We were tired, or maybe we drank a little much, I dunno but we said lets get a ride! So it took us to the line to get back on the ship.....no, I didn't get a picture!!

We were on the ship in no time. Like I mentioned today wore us out but we had sooo much fun!! So we headed straight for the room. I looked out our balcony and looked down and couldn't believe how far through the water you could see! We were on the 7th floor:

We were suppose to be leaving Cozumel at 4:00pm.......the cruise director came on the intercom and said divers are cleaning the somethings under the boat, so we are going to be delayed another hour. So we thought no big deal, atleast we get to enjoy the beauty another hour! So we took some more pics:

DSC02373.jpg

This shows how large our balcony was, it was huge and atleast the size of 2 balconies put together!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS ROOM!!! This first one was taken from one side and the next one from the othe side:

As announced, about 5pm we started moving! Here is part of the island from afar:

Goodbye Cozumel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you soon again!!:

Katie - you are making my 14 day countdown be even more exciting than it always is. :-) BTW - I got your email yesterday and will find the blackjack dealer. I didn't get a chance to respond; it was a "crazy, busy" day for me

Did You have a lot of motion at the back of the ship? I have one of the L shaped cabins for my Destiny Cruise, I've always stayed in a mid ship cabin so i'm kinda worried about motion. But i'm still excited about snagging this cabin.:D

So heading to Dillard's! I love the pics! So jealous! lol

They should have them! The white one was more than the blue one, and honestly the white one was ugly on the hanger, but it had the colors of my suit in it so I thought I would try it on, anyway good luck to you, hope you find them! :)

No motion sickness....AT ALL. Now, I am not a good one to gauge the sickness. I can be going sideways at 1 million miles an hour and never get sick. Now, mom on the other hand can't sit in a porch swing without gettting sick....she did not get sick at all though the entire cruise.....I was so glad!!

We did the get the little patch (that looks like a band aid) to go behind her ear, and she took Bonine every night (including the night before) on the ship. She never experineced any sickness, so I really think its a good spot!

Have no fear or worry -- you picked a good room! :)

Love the review- What type of underwater camera do you have. I am trying to decide on which kind to get for our cruise later this year.

Keep up the great review.

Thank you!! My underwater camera is a Samsung, AQ100, 5x zoom and 12.2megapixels. I bought it about 3 cruises ago and it was around $100. It is a good camera, and I love it because its an aqua blue color! Always reminds me of all the wonderful trips and places it has been! :)

Here is what it looks like, I took a picture of it with my phone.:

Another thing I failed to mention, is if you cruise much or go to the beaches much or do any sort of snorkeling, this is a good inexpensive camera. Like I said, I have used it many times, and it works great on dry land pictures too! So it can be used for a lot! Great camera if you ask me!

Have I mentioned........today is FRIDAY!!! Today has gone by so fast for me, I about forgot what day it was.....that should be illegal for Fridays!! ;)

So, I must say if you get a chance to go to Cozumel, DO IT!! It is a wonderful time and a beautiful place! I forgot to mention this earlier in my Cozumel review, but there were 4, yes 4 Caqrnival ships in port the day we were in port. We got lucky and were "parked".....ha ha whats the lingo for a ship being parked??...ha ha...who knows, anyway we were docked, maybe thats it!....docked downtown, which is the place you wanna be. The other docks are not far, but they are not directly downtown.

After Cozumel, I think we crashed in the room again for a little bit. We cleaned up, got showers and got all the sand off of us and we headed to dinner in the main dining room. Here is mom, ready to go while I am still fixing my hair:

DSC02393.jpg This was taken to the right of the hall mirror area for reference.

Once we finished getting ready for dinner, we stepped out our door and our wonderful room steward, Nur, was out there cleaning. He was really, really a good room steward. I hope each of you reading my review get him. He was on top of everything. Always make sure everything was pristine and perfect to make our vacation the best. Meet Nur :):

After I took his picture, he wanted to get a picture with mom (notice her red face!!! LOL:p):

After pictures with Nur, we headed off to dinner. Now, maybe it was just mom and I. But I do want to get the word out about this. It seemed like the quality of the food in the London, MDR went downhill from the 2nd day out. Mom and I ate dinner in the MDR about every night, not every but almost. We were suprised that the food quality just seemed to go out the window a little bit. I know if you dont like your food you can order more or order what you want, but on my previous cruises I dont ever remember having a problem with the food. I am not sure, maybe it was just the chef a couple days and our taste buds, but it just wasn't the quality I remember. So am I saying Carnival is bad?? NO, I am not, I do suggest eating in the MDR, I am just trying to give an unbiased opinion about our trip. I do hope that any going soon has the opposite experience!

So, enough about all of that............back to the fun!

That night we wanted to see the comedians. We chose to go to the family friendly comedian instead of the adult comedian because of the time. I made good friends with one of the dealers in the casino. He name was Alexandru (or Alex for short) and he told me he would be a dealer most of the night. So he told us to come back later, so we went to the early show so we could play with him in the casino later on. I know it sounds weird to say a dealer is fun, but he just made the game more fun, and tried to be tricky and just added a little more character to the game. Most dealers in the casino are so boring and just there for a job, I know thats what most are there for, but we all joked at our table and just had a really good time! So, anyone going on the Triumph in the next couple weeks, go to the casino and tell the only red head that works in there - Alex, that Katie says hello!! Tell him that Katie says you give 21 every game!! LOL He will love that!

So back to our comedian adventure., I don't remember the guys name but for family friendly comedians, he was pretty funny. One joke I do remember is about an ambulance. He said when you are driving down the road and you look in your rear view mirror, why does it read ambulance backwards?? As if the red & blue flashing lights and the horn didn't make it obvious enough!! He was pretty good. I will have to look in my FunTimes and see what his name was.

Really enjoying the review. I love the Triumph, and I can tell you feel the same. My mom was my cruising buddy for years (and we still do multi-generational trips with my girls now). Glad you had a great time.

We choose anytime dining (the only way to go if you ask me) and here was our main dining room, called the London:

DSC02228.jpg

So we decided it was finally time for a drink!! We were on Deck 5 mid - near casino:

DSC02225.jpg

Oh, I forgot to mention that we didn't leave on time - 4:00pm because there was some problem with the sprinkler system, oh great we all thought! So the captain came on and said it would probably be 7:00 before they were fixed and we would be ready to go. So we had more time to explore ship before leaving port. This may have been another reason no one from our roll call was where we said because of the delay in leaving....I dunno.

So about 6:00 we had had the lovely safety briefing, after this they opened the dining rooms. By this time we were getting hungry again, so about 6:30 we went to dinner. Here we are before dinner:

DSC02231.jpg

I also forgot to mention that I had made a door decoration, here it is :):

DSC02232.jpg

I LOVE this poster. Can I ask how you made it or where you had it made.?

I would love to do this for my cruise on July 12th. My daughter will be 16yrs. and it a surprise cruise.

Thanks!!
