CRUISERG Posted May 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2005 has anyone had a smooth trip to Bermuda without rough seas? Seems like everyone hits some rough seas at one point. If so, what time of year was it?

Welove2cruise2 Posted May 4, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2005 Sailed twice in October -- first time, very rough (20+ seas) going down, calm coming home. Second time, calm going down, rough coming home. Twice in July -- seas were PERFECT! Foggy the last night (Saturday) before getting back to Boston. Now we're going in May -- don't know what the seas will be like, but the trip this week was quite calm going down, and they were in to St. George's before 8 a.m. Hope the seas are kind to us next week! :p
Fam of 5 Posted May 4, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2005 We sailed out of Boston 8/15/2004 never hit any bad weather either way. We're going back this August and are keeping our fingers crossed for the same.
Ginty Posted May 4, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 4, 2005 has anyone had a smooth trip to Bermuda without rough seas? Seems like everyone hits some rough seas at one point. If so, what time of year was it? We went from Boston in mid-June, 2001, and it was a little rocky the first night since a tropical depression had just past through Boston. After that it was beautiful and the return trip was great. Sailing from Boston again on June 12 and are hoping for calm waters.
Manugit Posted May 7, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 7, 2005 Sept. travel doesn't appeal to any one out there  I hear less chance of good sailing weather, It's a cheap cruise and the Posiden Adventure comes to mind  Our 1st cruise and we think all cruisers do a good weather dance any time of year :D We depart @ black Falcon, any tips... bug_dan Posted May 7, 2005 #10 Share Posted May 7, 2005 We're going for the third time at the end of Sept. First two trips, we had some mildly rough seas on the way there, but almost smooth as glass on the return.
celbercrz333 Posted May 9, 2005 #11 Share Posted May 9, 2005 We hit a tropical storm out of NYC on October 11, 2003. Only the first night was rough, after that was ok. We were on Celebrity Zenith. When our sister ship, Celebrity Horizon came into port, some of those people did the "Don't stop the Carnival Party" with us. When we told them of our rough seas, they were surprised. Only a day later coming in than us, they had a smooth sailing.
Ivey01 Posted May 10, 2005 #12 Share Posted May 10, 2005 We sailed to Bermuda last year on the Majesty the 3rd week of September, the first night was a little rocky but after that it was smooth as glass! Also, the weather in Bermuda was beautiful at that time of year! We loved being able to drive to the Black Falcon Terminal and just get on the ship. Embarkation was very easy, we didn't even have to wait in line for very long. I believe that we arrived at the pier about 12:30. Have a great trip, the Majesty is a wonderful ship and the staff is just terrific. We are hoping to take one more trip to Bermuda on her before she is retired. Take Care Beth
