Money Bar

I thought I would share our experience at the Money Bar. We were there on 5/23/12. Shipped arrived in port about 1 and we were at the money bar before 2. Caught a taxi right at the port $8 plus tip $10 total each way. It was funny because when we asked for Money Bar the driver started telling us about all the other beaches, etc. I stuck with what I knew. Arrived at Money Bar and you will need to go to the Restaurant/Bar itself. A little confusion but we got it figured out and told them we wanted the package with guided snorkeling and massage, lunch and two drinks (one non-alcholic). Be aware of a few things: the guided tour is nothing hugely spectacular. If you've snorkled before you can get by without guide. My cousin hadn't and I've not been in those waters so I thought it would be good. the guide brought along fish food and so the fish were all around us. My cousin loved it!! I have to say at least for that day I didn't see anything like what I saw in Hawaii as far as the amount and variance in sea life but fun all the same. The current is a little strong in some parts. Kept the equipment for a while and went back out by ourselves later. Also to note, with the package you only get a choice of a few lunch/dinner items not the full menu. The food was very good however, not the best guac I've ever had. The massage was great! the facilities are clean. Plenty of loungers but only a few umbrellas. The servers and bar tenders were awesome! Met and talked for a long while with some locals too. the place while we were there was very chill. On Weekends I think they have bands and a more party atmosphere but for us it was a very relaxing, quiet, take-it-all-in kind of day. Perfect for us.
