luggage tags

If we can print them off, why is everybody talking about ordering them? This is my first Celebrity cruise so I would really like to know what to do when it comes time to get my luggage tags.
Whichever method you prefer will be fine.

If you are someone who enjoys printing your own luggage tags, there is nothing wrong with doing it that way.

Many passengers like to order pre-printed tags from Celebrity and bring them along from home rather than bothering to print tags themselves.

Many others see no need to bother with the tags in advance at all, so they use the "no muss, no fuss" method and simply get their bags tagged when they check them in at the pier.

It is really no big deal.

Have a great cruise, however you choose to do it.

OK, question no one has addressed here: if you don't put the cruise tags on when you leave home, and you arrive at the cruise port and you don't have your bags (the airline 'loses' them) isn't it better to have the cruise tags on so they can track them to a port for you if they don't get to the ship in time?
