D-Town Posted July 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I've sailed many times out of Fort Lauderdale on previous cruises. (I love the fact that the port is so close to the port.) However, never cruised out of the port of Miami. Next Spring's Reflection Trans-Atlantic departs from the port of Miami. My wife and I would like to travel into Miami two days prior to April 20, 2013's cruise date to enjoy South Beach and those famous crab claws. Could you Miami cruise pros make some recommendations for afforable hotels in the area of the port? How far is the port from the South Beach entertainment area? How far is the port from the Miami airport?? Thanks !
Rare cruisestitch Posted July 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2012 D-town It would be a good idea to post this on the ports of call board, and also to put your topic in the Title line instead of your name, so people will know what you want and be able to respond to your question. From the airport to the port is about 7 miles. There are many hotels in the South Beach area though not too many right around the port. If you're there in April, stone crabs will still be in season.
