Eurodam 21-Day Med Splendour Collector's Voyage

Hi

We are deciding on the 21-days Collector's Voyage on Eurodam, which is a back-to-back 10 days Med Splendour followed by 11 days Med Odyssey, both departing from Rome.

Since it is made up of 2 different cruises, will the entertainment as well as the dinner menus be a repeat during the second leg?

We like this itineary because it covers Mediterranean and the Greek Islands.

Thanks.

The HAL production shows will most likely be the same. You can either enjoy the show again, or find something else to do that night. There will be a movie, DVD rental possibility, or lounge entertainment. The headline performers may, or may not, be the same as they tend to switch ships. The entertainment in the various lounges will also most likely be the same. One would have to be at the end of a contract on your turn-over day for there to be a change there.

Since the two cruises are different lengths, there will be at least one day with a new menu. Other than that, you should expect a repeat of some menus, and definitely a repeat of some selections.

That gives you a chance to enjoy a selection a second time, or to try something you passed on the first time. I have never found duplicate menus to be a problem.

Thanks so much for your replies. A few more things came up as we planned.

Because it's a collector's voyage, we can't book an assigned room. It's only guranteed. So, if we book a VE room on Verandah Deck & they upgrade us to VD on Upper Promenade, can we reject the upgrade?

Do we need to leave the ship in Rome after our first trip and before the next? As it is, we are starting in Rome, have a transition in Rome, and ending there again. So, would be good if we could stay onboard.

Trying to find if there's another similar itinerary but not back to back. Since we are flying from Australia, would really like a longer cruise (about 14 to 20 days). We've looked at Celebrity but their Med & Greek Island Cruises are about 12 days and do not cover the Spain ports.

Thanks in advance.

If you are upgraded - you can't reject it - you can see if there is an upsell available or see if you can possibly change the room - but it's not necessarily possible. You might want to have your TA check with HAL and see if there are some rooms they can pull from the inventory so you can choose a room (worked for us;)). Also, even though it is guarantee only right now, specific rooms may become available later so worth watching the HAL site.

You might want to double check on the ports board - but we are doing a collectors' cruise next year in Europe as well. I was told by our helpful cc friends that the rules are different in Europe and we would not even have to get off the ship unless we wanted. (Totally different from FLL). Our turnaround port is Tilbury.

Hope this helps a bit:D

I would be exceedingly surprised if you have to leave the ship on turn-around day.

I have had many, many turn-around days in Europe, including Rome, and never been made to leave the ship. On the Rome day, there was even a deep-cleaning due to an outbreak of noro on the first cruise. We still were not inconvenienced at all. I stayed and relaxed.
