irisheileen Posted July 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2012 On the Ferry Schedule it seems that the Blue Rte. doesn't always stop at the Watford Dock. There are only 2 Watford stops in the AM? The schedule then states from the 9:10 Hamilton slot to "see also Orange Rte" but without mentioning a time arriving in Watford. When looking at the Orange Rte. schedule, no mention of any stops other than Dockyard and St. George and of course, Hamilton. We are looking at going to H2O Sports who states that they are 5 minutes from Watford Ferry stop. Thanks.
njhorseman Posted July 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Ferries running from Dockyard don't stop at Watford Bridge. This is a local Blue route commuter ferry route to and from Hamilton with only a few runs to and from Hamilton serving the stop in the morning and afternoon. Orange route ferries run between Hamilton, Dockyard and St. George's and never stop at Watford Bridge.

Thanks, that's what I thought, just wondering why the 9:10am orange route out of Hamilton is listed within the Blue route columm? What's the purpose? Kinda stinks for the businesses close to there, for midday business. Guess if we want to go there it'll have to be by bus. Would that be a # 8 or # 7? Which would be prettiest/ less crowded? Looks like a transit time of about 1 hour?

The 9:10am ferry is listed on the Blue Route because it starts from Hamilton to the Dockyard but then continues on to St George which is the Orange Route You could take either a route #7 or #8 bus. Both buses follow the same route at that point so the scenery would be the same. Since the route #7 bus does the beaches. it will be crowded with beach goers. So I would suggest using the route #8 bus plus the route #8 bus gets an earlier start. Travel time would be about 10-15 minutes. SBtS

We are also going to look into somerset bridge water sports-will that be the same bus, as well?
