voyager70 Posted August 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Sorry if this has been discussed - we have a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. Want to rent a minivan/suv from MCO to Cocoa Beach hotel, one way. Any suggestions please.
JohninDC Posted August 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Go to your favorite travel web site (Kayak, Orbitz, carrentals, etc.) plug in your dates and find the best rate. The major brands of car rentals have ofices at both MCO and PC/Cocoa Beach with port shuttles. Check for any discount coupons/code you may qualify for (AAA, AARP, Costco, etc) -- depending upon how much luggage you bring it might be a tight squeeze in a mini-van for 6+bags (especially if any of your group pack like my wife and daughters! :o). Renting a mini-van can also be expensive :( - you may have more room and save $$ by renting two standard cars for the 45+ minute drive. ;) Good luck! :)
wrigley80 Posted August 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2012 I have a coupon code for Budget if you are interested.....it is Y937800. We are renting a car and we got a full size car for $48.00. That is cheaper than the shuttle
voyager70 Posted August 27, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted August 27, 2012 Thank you both for your suggestions. Wrigley if we go with Budget I'll take you up on the offer - thanks! Jason
cruzinisgood Posted August 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2012 We used that code back in May and saved quite a bit. Started at about $200 for 3 days than put coupon in and it dropped to $120 I check a couple weeks before leaving and ended up paying something like $75 for the 3 days. So if you use Budget keep checking back to see if prices change. Once you make a reservation it's easy to modify.:)
