Walking to Pier 84 from hotel

We will be on a Canada/New England cruise in Sept. and staying in NY day before. Our hotel is on 44th st. and 8th Ave. and we want to walk from the hotel to Pier 84 on 44th st. to get on the NY water taxi. It is only 4 blocks from hotel to pier. Has anyone else done this without any problems?

I don't see why you couldn't do this. The avenue blocks are much longer than the street blocks, but everyone walks in NY. Four avenues should be about a half mile.

Thanks much. I guess I don't remember asking this question before, but just want to make sure we make it there on time for our 3:15 departure time. Just trying to get our "ducks in a row" so we have everything planned since we don't have as much time in NY as we would like.
