My TA's agency belongs to an organization Giantstravel that runs escorted tours and shore excursions and allows member travel agencies to offer free shore excursions to their customers. We are being offered one in Qeubec called "The Delights of Quebec" that includes a drive to Cap Diamant. Then to Dufferin Terrace and the Chateau Frontenac and then to Manoir Montmorency followed by a gondola ride for a view of Montmorency Falls. Then a visit to Sugar Shack on the Island of Orleans. It is a 5 hour tour and looks like it is similar to one of the tours that HAL is offering for around $60 a person.

I'm interested if anyone else has had any experience with these people and if they do what they say they are going to do. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks and have a GREAT next cruise.

I did a search on them and I wonder if it isn't a time-share promotion. Ask your TA to swear on a stack of Bibles that you aren't going to be visiting condos and other such places in return for a trip around Quebec City.

As my Economics prof taught me in college, "TANSTAAFL."

My TA is a member of Giant's and it is reputable and most certainly not a timeshare thing. The name is actually Giant's Select and it's a travel agent membership thing. I'm on a cruise right now (we're docked in Rio de Janerio) and Giant's did a great full day tour in St. Helena. They also did one in Kenya and we have another one coming up in Barbados. They also have member's only parties and sometimes they have special lunches. On select cruises, like mine, they pay gratuities, which saves quite a bit of money, especially for a 29 day cruise. Other travel companies that are similar are Virutoso and Mariner. Your tour will be a very good one.

Thanks for the information. I will get in touch with my TA and have her send my forms in on Monday for the tour while we are in Quebec.
