My husband was once called on the phone when we were on board ( Regent days). It was 4 am so the reception was not eager to wake him up. At his staff's insistence they did wake him up and he took the call. The bill his employer paid ended up being $2000. Cannot remember how long it was.

Ship-to-shore calling (and vice versa) is always expensive. A better option might be to purchase one of the internet packages ($62.50 for 250 minutes, or $35 for 100 minutes) and check in on email once or twice a day, if your realtor would be willing to contact you via email rather than calling. (Wireless access can be somewhat spotty throughout the ship, so hit the internet lounge if you need a reliable connection.)
