duty free shopping nite on conquest

Recommended Posts

Can't remember from my last cruise on the Conquest.....

Early in the cruise.....I think almost as soon as we were out to see, they had a duty free shopping night and alcohol tasting,e tc........On another line, we were able to buy things that the line kept till the last night, but also were able to pay a consumption fee in addition to the price of the spirits to take back to our cabin. Does anyone know if they do this on the Conquest? We enjoy making a drink occasionally in our room before we go out.....and still have a bar tab on the ship. Not big over-drinkers, but like to have the convenience of being too lazy to walk to the bar before we get ready and dressed for evening events, etc.

Please advise.

Thanks!

on the conquest--once you get to the open seas seas the shops and casinos will be open. Its all duty free-- not just one night. There will be a sale on the last night--2 tee shirts for 20 bucks. If you see something early in the week buy it do not wait for sales as that item may be sold out and you wont be able to get it again. (same with alcohol and cigerettes.. Buy early)

Carnival does not have a consumption fee. What alcohol you buy will be kept uintil the last night of your cruise. (royal caribbean charges for this.)

If you dont feel like going to a bar-- call room service and have it delivered.

(we discovered that on the Miracle in February) You could also smuggle small bottles of your own alcohol on in your checked luggage. Do not attempt to carry it on as it will be taken. Checked luggage is not scanned for alcohol.
