techgirl502 Posted October 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Can someone tell me how much walking/hiking is involved in the post cruise visit to El Yunque? Thanks
jsf Posted October 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Did it about 10 years ago and don't think there was a lot of walking. We rode in a bus and I remember stoping for lunch and many picture stops in the park. We were dropped off at the airport and it sure beats sitting around the airport all day( done that before). It did rain a little, I quess that's normal. J.
KeywestK Posted October 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2012 We did this tour at the end of a cruise and it was a great way to pass the time before being dropped off at the airport. Our luggage was sent along to the airport from the ship, and we did have our carry on bags with us, which stayed locked in the bus while we walked around the rain forest. MonDreamr1 Posted October 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2012 IMO there was not enough walking. It really seemed like we were on the bus for most of it driving between different stops. The trails we were on were very flat. It seemed to be geared as an easy excursion, my mom and sister wore flipflops for it and were fine. (Feb 2011).
