we are doing an 11C on deck 2 -- I have never done an inside cabin

nor have I ever been so low in the ship . We are doing this kinda on a whim so we booked the cheap special rate .

will I hear every noise from the public spaces above us ???

All of our DCL cruises have been on deck 2 (Magic & Wonder, sister ships). It's really quite handy to the MDRs (1 or 2 decks up), as well as Route 66 (adult area), 1 deck up, and WDT 2 decks up. It's 1 deck down to the tender lobby (the gangway for disembarking at the various ports). And, when waiting for an elevator to go up to the pool/buffet/Palo, it's much easier to get one from the lower level than trying to get one on one of the middle decks.

4 of our rooms were under the passageway port side by Triton's/Lumiere's and Promenade Lounge. The only noises we every heard were very occasionally running footsteps. All our rooms were very quiet.

One room we stayed in was directly beneath Wavebands (cabaret- style bar). We never heard anything. And we're not late to bed people, so we were in our room when stuff was going on.

I had one interior cabin under Wavebands and it was too noisy as that serves as the Disco late into the wee hours of the night. We complained and they moved us under the piano bar the next day. We had no issues after that. I did like being on Deck 2 and only 1 deck away from the dining rooms and adult areas.
