One Extra Night in SJU

Due to flight times and not wanting to sit in the airport for 10+ hours with my 9 and 6 years olds we have decided to extend our cruise in June by one extra day post sailing in San Juan. I have read many of the posts but was looking for feedback on a resort that is on the beach, family friendly and clean. Willing to spend $200 - $250/night. Anyone with similar experience? Saw Intercontinenal is close to airport but mixed reviews on travel sites. Also when extending stay how have people gotten from the port to their hotel -- taxi, shuttle? Thank you for any information!!!

The Marriott in Isle Verde is nice...we stayed there last time in 2007..;)

Use a taxi to go from port to hotel and airport.

 

The Caribe Hilton is a nice property, with small beach area, multiple swimming pools, assorted large tropical fish in their pond, with ducks, water foul, swans and peacocks in the nature area. The kids will enjoy the nice play ground on the property.
