keido Posted December 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Wondering if it is worth it to do an Atlantis excursion while in Nassau?? If not, any other suggestions?
2CuteKiddies Posted December 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Blue Lagoon Island is another good alternative. They have dolphin and sea lion encounters, or you can just go out there for a day at the beach. We did a beach day with lunch and had a nice time. grand isle joe Posted December 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2012 The ONLY reason we get off the ship anymore is to go to Atlantis. Is it worth it? That's a tough question to answer because everyone has different criteria on worth. Is a Caddy worth more than a chevy? But IMO it is a great day with the kids and the water park and aquarium is second to none. It is worth going at least once.

NanciRDH Posted December 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2012 I'll also subscribe to the "do it once if you want to" party. It was fun, and we did it because we were on a short, inexpensive (for us) cruise, so it was in the budget, and the ship was in port for a whole day. With the aquarium included it was more than a typical water park, and the attractions were a bit different than you'd normally get, but all in all, it was still a waterpark. At 3x the price. Food and drinks were in line with the theme parks, so no complaints there. We probably could have taken a chance on getting a day pass for less than the ships excursion, but it was June and there were several other ships there that day. We most likely wont be doing it again, there are other things we can spend the $$ on. Also something to consider is the time your ship is in port...the major attractions don't open until after 10:00, (and island time wasn't precise the day we were there, lol) some ships leave earlier in the afternoon, not really giving you much bang for your buck(s).
