Free Beach, Close to Port

What is the best FREE beach close to port?

All the beaches on the island are FREE, but FYI I wouldn't go into the water at the one closest to the Cruise Facility (Great Bay Beach) because of concerns over water quality.

All beaches are free. What else are you looking for in a beach. If swimming is important then I am like Gary and would not recommend Great Bay. Pollution issues have plagued this beach for years.

By "free"- Great bay beach is realistically the only beach you can walk to for free. Everywhere else requires a cab fare or two mile hike....

 

I love how you two just sit there waiting to tell every post not to swim where everyone swims with no problem! If someone asked how the pools are on a cruise ship do you also caution them about documented health concerns there? I just cant figure out what kind of crusade it is to constantly try to steer people away from the most convenient (not the number 1 beach we know) beach because of a nature study about fish breathability in the commercial boat area separated by a jetty from the rest of the beach....
