Dzibilchaltun Ruins Excursion

It was definitely worth it. We got it through Autoprogreso right at the pier for $28 per person.

The tour left about 1.5-2 hours after we got off the ship so we had a little time before to basically sit at the beach and get a massage/margarita before we took the tour. After it was over they take you straight back to the ship. We had about 45 minutes then to look through the shops at the pier.

Looks like this is our excursion of choice for Progresso.. if you've done this one, how was it? Was it worth it? Will there be much time afterwards for some beach play?

Did it several years ago thru the ship.. Pretty good tour, very interesting, but would probably go thru a local tour company if I had it to do over. AutoProgreso comes to mind. The ruins are fairly close to port which leaves time for sightseeing and shopping. Uxmal is another good one.
