Crusin Hogs Posted January 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2013 sailing on the Caribbean Princess , We were due back in FLL on Saturday morning , We did a cash onboard account , Went to settle account Thursday night about 8:30 PM . We left $23.00 on account to cover Friday's auto tips . We were told that would take us to $0.00 owed and clear the account . We had a 7.;05 AM disembark Saturday AM , As we were leaving ship , They scanned our cards ,ding ,ding , ding , Front desk wanted to see us. They said we owed a whole $3.00 , asked what for they looked and said a TIP . I told them we cleared our account almost 36 hrs ago , and We bought NOTHING , and tipped no one nothing . So after holding us 10 to 15 minutes ,I was tired of it said I would pay the 3 to release us . and then they said never mind ,we were free to leave . Our friends also had a simillar 7.00 problem with them , They have accounting problems somewhere . We had our final statement which showed 0.00 was due . At the conclusion of one cruise on grand princess -- the purser's desk calls my cabin around 6:30 on embarcation morning. They say I have to come down and settle my account. I go down. They owe me $3. They decide that they can just credit it to my credit card, and I don't have to do anything. I go back to the cabin, and they call and say I have to come down again. I go down, and they have decided that they have to give me the $3 in cash. They do so. Later, when I try do disembark, the a-pass alerts, and they won't let me leave the ship. Some junior moron makes me get out of line and settle my account with her. I was pretty angry, as I had already tried to settle the account twice. I might have used a bad word or two. I invite them to call BSO, as they are guilty of false imprisonment. Now, I ALWAYS make sure they have a balance they can charge to my card at the end of the cruise, even if it is a dollar.
