WATB Posted January 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2013 Are you able to request a certain cabin ? I'm sure you used to be able to enter this when booking online but I can't find this option anywhere. I'm looking to book a mini break in April on Azura but all the cabins available don't seem to be in very good locations. Currently no A, B or C deck are available, only Lido, R and E deck. Do P & O generally fill the ship from top to bottom or the other way around? Do I wait or have I waited too long
tillybilly321 Posted January 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2013 Hi, if you phone P&O directly then you may be able to have a better choice of cabin, unless you are booking a getaway deal which means you are allocated a cabin by P&O. I am sure that I have read somewhere that they only release cabins in batches of eight in each grade. Why they do this I have no idea but if you try to book online they will only ever show a maximum of 8 cabins to choose from. They also seem to hold cabins back, before Xmas the cruise I was looking at had sold out of 4 berth inside cabins. Looked again last week and lo & behold there were 8 to choose from ! No good to me as I have booked elsewhere but the losers are P&O !

The idea of only releasing small numbers of cabins migt be to scare potential customers into booking immediately through fear of no cabins being left. when i check out prices online via a dummy booking it always allows you to select a cabin number.
