Eclipse Tender on St Thomas....how far to Emerald Beach?

Hello,

 

My parents and 10 of their friends are going on the Eclipse next month. I am trying to help them research a few things. One is where will the tender drop them in St. Thomas? Any idea how far/ how much a taxi would cost to take some of them to Emerald Beach?

I don't recall having to tender in 2011 on Equinox. We were docked and the port is beautiful. We did a helicopter tour and we did see a few ships at anchor so your mileage may very.

I thought tendering in St. Thomas was unusual but I reviewed thier itinerary and this is the one and only island they tender at. Just not sure where they will land on shore.

We docked at Crown Bay on our Dec 15th sailing aboard Reflection and I took this picture. Crown Bay is a little closer to Emerald Beach than the Havensight dock. Hope this helps! VInow dot com has a list of taxi rates as well.

We need up tendering on our cruise on the 17th November unscheduled as we should have docked. We docked the week before. If you tender they will take them to around the middle of the town but it was pretty rough on the tender crossing. A few people on our cruise were injured either leaving or returning to the ship.
