I love your story at St Pete! Reminds me of my travel from Moscow to St Pete in 2001 by train, and I hailed cabs/private cars off the streets, encountered those mafia. Can't wait for our Russia Scandinavia cruise May 21, 2018! Thanks for sharing[emoji8]

Yep I know this post was from a long time ago... but you know, Russian attitude hasn't changed, even here in New York! Am planning to fly to Moscow after my Copenhagen cruise, bring my daughters who are fascinated by the country. I love their culture despite the absence of customer service, I expect the same response fr store owners, "Ishto vam nushna?" (What the hell dya want?) haha nothing personal!

 

Oh btw, i was in Russia on multiple business visa, flew alone fr Philippines but joined my late American hubby, I always wanted to go back! Meantime, I found my pocket Russian dictionary, time to brush up... hey try Duo Lingo app to practice[emoji41]
