Punchliner Comedy Brunch

We just did this on the Glory, and it's really just like going to the regular sit down breakfast or lunch, but with a comedian coming out for about 10 minutes each hour. So far, from our experience and family/friends who have done it on other Carnival ships, including the Breeze, the comedians haven't been "all that". Our group conclusion is that they save any of their good material for their night time shows.

We also think that by offering the Punchliner Brunch, Carinval is trying to alleviate the long lines/crowds that always were at the breakfast and lunch buffets. Plus since the main restaurants never get a lot of people eating there for breakfast/lunch, they usually have too many empty tables with too many staff, waiting for people who never come.

But we did very much like being able to sit and be served and maybe we were lucky, but we weren't rushed at all.

We did it twice on the Dream in October and thought service was fine.

It will never be as good as dinnertime as you dont directly tip the server.

For our cruise on the Conquest last October, we were able to have the same servers for the Brunch as we were for Dinner.

We got along so well with our wait team, that they would tell us where they were working the next day so that we could have them. A couple of times, they where even waiting for us when we arrived for Brunch. Of course, we got there when it opened so that was the reason they could.

My only regret is that Lilis will not be on the Conquest this October, she has transferred to the Spirit.
