Room service requests

Is room service from a set menu or can you just make a reasonable request. Simple things like selection of cheese fruit etc. Also are drinks and food a separate request.

There is a set Room Service Menu, and guests who have a Butler may additionally order from the Specialty Restaurants.

 

Drinks and food are delivered together, by the Rom Service Waiter, although alcoholic items would have been prepared by someone in the bar staff.

One cruise, I called almost every afternoon and asked for milk to mix myself a Brown Cow.( Really supposed to be cream, but I had to cut calories SOMEWHERE!)

One day, I was asked if I'd like anything else. I said yes but it wasn't on the menu. Just ask, they said. Well, I really like chocolate chip cookies, could I get a couple?

I got a PLATE of cookies, and it came every day after that with my milk, without me asking.

BTW, my milk would come with a spoon tucked into a linen serviette(napkin for my US friends), so I could mix my Brown Cow well.

This will be our first Oceania cruise and first to Europe April 21. I have been previewing the meues and it looks like I will be full after the appetizers alone:)! Thanks for all replies.
