cynbar Posted February 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2013 We will be on Wind Surf in April for one of the first of the season European cruises, and I have a couple questions about it. Is the evening dress code fancier than it has been in the Caribbean? We have two evenings and overnights in port, Marseilles and Monte Carlo --- are any guest performers likely to be brought on board, or any transportation into town arranged? We'd like to go to the Grand Casino but I've read that taxis don't come to the port at night --- true? Can we change large euros into smaller denominations at reception ( I'm not intending to ask them to convert US dollars into euros)? Will there still be an evening barbecue? Any other tips or suggestions you can think of?

I will note people dressed nicely at night. We have two evenings and overnights in port, Marseilles and Monte Carlo --- are any guest performers likely to be brought on board, or any transportation into town arranged? Never in my experience. Not sure what you mean about transportation. You can walk right into town. We'd like to go to the Grand Casino but I've read that taxis don't come to the port at night --- true? Don't know this, but you could certainly arrange transportation in advance. Can we change large euros into smaller denominations at reception ( I'm not intending to ask them to convert US dollars into euros)? IME, yes. Will there still be an evening barbecue? Yes, on deck. Any other tips or suggestions you can think of? Don't worry so much, and have a good time.
