Tram to Paradise Point

I did it once and thought it was worth it. That is because of the great view you have of St. Thomas and can get great pictures of the ships in port. It is within walking distance of the ships. There are also some shops if you like.

Great view! At $15/person expensive for our family of 5. Do a land trip--the tram is free after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Charges seem to be the highest for cruise ship passengers. There a breaks on prices for those staying in local hotels and resorts.

If you are renting a car you can drive up to the lookout/shopping/bar area rather then riding the tram up. There is a road.

Only on Wednesday. (They called it happy hour.) We got the info from the guest journal in the condo. We took the tram the week before last and watched the cruise ships leave including the Queen Mary 2.

Hello,

The regular rate is $15 round trip. And yes on late Wednesday afternoons its free for attending Happy Hour at the Bar/restaurant area, only on that day for that event.

Odds of their being a taxi up there that isn't on a tour of some sort is not likely. You can ask a bartender or wait staff at the bar to call a taxi for you. Contact them to see about one way options: http://www.stthomasskyride.com
