pris993 Posted April 2, 2013 #51 Share Posted April 2, 2013 We have had lots of wonderful cruises... best were any cruise we have done in the Mediterranean -- ports are fantastic, Baltic fantastic too, plus we have done some wonderful TAs on the Ruby, Westerdam, Queen Victoria and Golden Princess. We enjoyed the Westerdam and Ruby Princess so much we have booked repeat cruises - some ships have something special.
tbmrt Posted April 13, 2013 #52 Share Posted April 13, 2013 I have fond memories of many cruises and what we have discovered for sure is that good cruises are determined by: 1. The people you meet. 2. The ports you visit (We always do private excursions, sometimes very adventuresome and choose to just do a short stop to the shopping areas at the ports.) Some places that stand out in my mind are Dominica, Jost Van Dyke, Samana, St. Maarten, Barbados, Belize and Roatan. 3. The ship itself (food, entertainment, pizzazz aren't at the top of our list unless it's a cruise on a ship that is going to ports that we've been to in the past.) DDMau Posted April 13, 2013 #53 Share Posted April 13, 2013 As everyone says "they have all been good." The best was Panama Canal 19 day Seattle to Miami 2008. I think the most memorable was Alaska with our two grandkids age 10 & 11 in 2009.
