TCBFlash Posted April 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2013 My DH and I love cruising and usually go on RCCL. My sister has just sailed on the Disney Fantasy and is trying to talk us into going with them in 2014. Our kids are adults now, (we sailed Disney with them in 2000) so I was wondering, how would the Disney ship be for us without having kids? We don't dislike kids or anything, it's just that we would like to have some "adult" vacation time. My sister and her husband (they have an 8 yo) raved about the ship and said we would have a great time. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks. matondo Posted April 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2013 DH, DD and I all adults are going on the Dream for a graduation from college present for DD. I will let you know. DH is not too excited about all the children that will be onboard (he says been there done that LOL). I read a previous view from the Dream that was all adults and they had a great time. I will let you know when we get back.

mom x4,grandma x4 Posted April 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2013 We cruise Disney without kids all the time. I think the Fantasy has better adult areas than the other ships. Just know there is No casino on Disney and the clubs often die out around 10 P.M. for guests, mostly because they have young kids to put to bed and get up early with. They still have music and such but not many people. So if you like a lot of late night activities it may not be for you. But the shows for adults are great, the pool, hot tub and Fantasy falls are really nice on the Fantasy. The Dream doesn't have Satellite falls and the clubs are laid out differently. Quiet Cove café is really nice. I just like the Fantasy better. Good luck with your choice.
samandbailey Posted April 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 6, 2013 My husband and I have cruised the Fantasy twice without children. We loved it!!!! There is plenty for adults to do. We didn't mind all the children because Disney keeps them busy with so many activities. I would highly recommend a cruise for two adults on the Fantasy. AmbeeBee Posted April 7, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Hey! My family (all adults as well) sailed on the Magic back in May of 2012. We had an excellent time! There are plenty of things on board for adults to do, including entertainment, night life, and lots of excursions geared for adults. Even the family activities are fun for adults! I hope you have a blast on your Disney cruise! :D

Not sure why DW thinks we need to go back to being 5 again :D
DisneyGirlJess Posted April 10, 2013 #12 Share Posted April 10, 2013 My husband and I do not have children and we went on the Disney "Dream" in '11 and are booked on the "Fantasy" this summer. It is an awesome experience, even without children. The "over 21" areas of the ship are so nicely kept & have great drinks and atmosphere. The best part is "Serenity Bay" on their private island, it's an adult only area with a gorgeous beach, plenty of hammocks, your own rental area for floats & tubes, and food. On the ship the spas and adult only pool/hot tob area is gorgeous. You'll love it! The cabins in my opinion are the best of any cruise line I've been on!
