Buying Bus/Ferry Passes

If you are sailing NCL, there is a table set up in the custom's house as you exit the ship. You can buy passes there. If you are sailing RCCI, there is a building right as you get off the ship that sells the passes also. Remember, they only take CASH, no credit or debit cards or checks.

No need to exchange your money. US and Bermuda money are equal. Everywhere in Bermuda takes US dollars. Bermuda Banks charge to change the money. I don't believe US banks will even have Bermuda Money. When you buy something, just ask for US change. Take small bills with you so you don't end up with a lot of Bermuda Money. It is pretty money but pretty much uselss to bring home. The Two day passes will be $25 this year. One day is $15 and three day is $35.

Thank you very much for this information. My family and I are sailing with my mother and my sister and her family. I was out with my mother/sister this weekend and told them I planned on taking the bus with my older teens to the beaches and they nearly fainted.

I told them I thought it would be no biggie since we will be in Bermuda for 3 days and not on a tight schedule and that when we were in Puerto Rico for a week after a cruise, we did the same thing. So now I'm going to ask is there really a big difference in the price for a taxi for 4 compared to the bus? We are docking in Kings Wharf. Thank you all VERY much!

The bus/ferry system in Bermuda is the way to go. Taxis are available at the dockyard but they are a lot more expensive. Almost everyone uses the bus/ferry system. There are actually express buses at the Dockyard that go directly to Horseshoe Beach. They are lined up on the right side of the road that takes you from the pier to the mainland. One Taxi ride for everyone would buy several bus passes that you could use for 2 or 3 days.
