Are rates the same for kids

3rd and 4th passenger rates are normally less than 1st and 2nd passengers. Web sites used to indicate this very clearly. Now, however, if you do a mock booking with only 2 passengers, then another with 4 passengers,,,,, you'll just see a "per passenger" reduction in price.

I believe it varies by ship and sailing. During the off season, 3rd and 4th passengers are often less than full fare. For example, when pricing in May (when school is still in session), it was $749 for pax 1 and 2, and $349 for pax 3 and 4. This would be harder to find during the summer, Christmas, and Feb/April vacations.

When we booked our upcoming cruise, it was something like $1,119 1st/2nd pax, and $829 3rd/4th. Rates are now $879 1st/2nd (about a 21% drop) and $289 3rd/4th (a 65% drop).

We bring our grandkids also and we pay less for the third and fourth person in the cabin. Remember though that the tips will also be added for however many in your cabin. We paid $11.50 per day each for the four of us when we went last year.
