Is it possible to go to the Lake by local bus or coach from Akureyri and also visit the Jarobooin Nature Baths rather than an expensive all day tour? Does anybody know please as I have emailed tour operators and they are looking at 18000 - 20000 ISK each for a full day tour!

If it is not possible, have you considered hiring a car?
