myself, wife, and our 4 year old son will be staying...

any other hotels I am missing would be nice too

I just stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay in May and I liked it. The rooms were clean. The hotel is on the water and our friends room looked over the port and we saw the Victory in the morning waiting for us. Ours rooms came with breakfast and it was a hot buffet and the restaurant looked over the water and some beautiful boats. It was in walking distance to a Publix where we went to buy some last minute things. I would definately stay there again.

I have only stayed at the JW Marriott. I travel quite often for my job and I have to say- it easily goes into my top 5' swankiest, nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The service is also excellent. That being said, I am not sure how much a 4 year old would appreciate it? There is a pool, and a bowling alley. There are also separate showers and tubs (very large!!!!) in the bathroom which may be helpful for a family. The rooms are also huge!!

Hope this helps a bit :)

Without a doubt the JW over Biscayne Bay any day of the week. You can't compare the two. The JW is far above and beyond the other Marriott.

Comparing the two would be like comparing Friday's to a Morton's Steakhouse
