Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater Hotels

Anyone have suggestions for a more upscale/luxury hotel for pre-cruise stay?

 

Looking for something a little different - prefer not a major chain hotel - but if it's newer - maybe interested.

The best place for comparative hotel shopping is Cruise Critic's sister site, TripAdvisor (dot com). It is what they specialize in.

The Don Cesar Hotel on St. Pete Beach is the Crown Jewel of the beaches. That would be my first choice. There is a lot of history behind this hotel. It is both luxurious and a historical landmark.

The Reniassance Vinoy is in downtown St.Pete, overlooking the Bay, and near many unique restaurants and museums including the, Dali, Dale Chihuly museum, Museum of Fine Arts and others..
