Dive certification PADI vs NAUI

This is one of the things I don't know. Hopefully someone can help.

My son is getting his NAUI certification onshore. He will be fully certified by his next cruise. I know that RCCL requires proof of certification for dive excursions. I assume a NAUI certification is good too.

There is some argument as to which is harder to get or better but I believe both are honored on board as dive certifications.

Any divers out there?

Make sure he gets his Open Water certificate as well . If he got a pool or lake ticket have might have trouble going on the excursion.

His NAUI ticket is fine. Just take his card and his log book.

As long as he is open water certified or above they don't care what agency it's from.

Any major certification, including NAUI is fine as long as it's open water or higher.
