Riga Art Nouveau Walking Tour

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if in Riga, it would be best to do some sort of walking tour to get the most out of viewing the Art Nouveau buildings. Can anyone recommend a walking tour, or direct me to a good written tour that we could follow ourselves? Thank you.

That was exactly what we did in 2010 when we stopped in Riga. I think it was in Lonely Planet Lativa book that had a walking tour. Perhaps your library has a copy. You could just get those pages--a couple--copied instead of purchasing the book. It was fairly easy to follow. We literally walked off the ship and went to the Resistance(may be another name) Museum--very interesting. The buildings were fantastic. We had a cappuccino in a little shop--had a design on top plus free bathrooms! Then we wandered back to the ship. Very cheap port stop and we really loved it. Enjoy.
