St Thomas 12-7pm

Getting in at noon on our cruise and wondering if the shops will stay open late or close around 5. We have kids ages 7-11 and are wondering what to do. My sister & family have never been to STT, but my family has been several times. My sister wants to shop but I want to do the turtle snorkel trip and I'm afraid we will miss the shopping! Any ideas?

Personally, there is no shopping worth missing what St. Thomas has to offer. I would guess with a ship in port, shops will stay open later. IMO, you go on the snorkeling excursion and if you make it back in time to shop, great-- but don't miss out on the memories.

The shops typically close at 5-5:30. :)

I agree, take the excursion and let the shoppers see what is open when you get back, some stores do stay open later but not the majority.
